Hakim L. Aouani, founder and CEO



Before founding Euro Latina Finance in early 2010, Hakim Aouani spent twelve years at listed French retailer Casino as member of the Management Board and Head of worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Investments and Corporate Affairs.

Between 1998 and 2010, he led the transformation of the Group, supervising over eighty M&A, capital market and real estate closed transactions. As part of his duties, he was also in charge of managing and optimizing Casino’s strategic investments both in France and internationally, in particular the group’s $5bn investment in Latin America (including $3bn invested in Pão de Açucar in Brazil and $1bn invested in Almacenes Éxito in Colombia).

This led him to supervise key strategic aspects ranging from financing, refinancing, corporate governance and build-up strategy, among others, and to serve as member of the Supervisory Boards of several listed corporations including Smart & Final Inc. (US) and Super de Boer NV (Netherlands), as well as Casino’s subsidiaries in Latin America.

Prior to Casino, he spent eight years in investment banking at Banque Worms (today Deutsche Bank) and HSBC, working respectively in LBO financing and M&A.

Hakim Aouani is a graduate of Supélec Engineering School (Paris) and HEC (Paris). He is a French national and also holds the Italian and Moroccan citizenships. He speaks fluently French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic.



Marie Ledru joined Euro Latina Finance in 2013 after spending six years at French listed retailer Groupe Casino, where she mostly worked on M&A and business development projects with a particular focus on Latin America.

As part of Casino’s Corporate Development and Holdings department, she participated during four years to various M&A projects in Europe, Latin America and South East Asia and was also actively involved in the strategic and financial management of the group’s main international investments.

She then joined GreenYellow, Casino’s energy subsidiary, as Deputy CFO. During two years, she participated in the structuring and financing of solar and energy efficiency projects and in GreenYellow’s international development in Colombia and Brazil.

Marie Ledru is a graduate from HEC (Paris). She is a French national and speaks fluently French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.



Andrés Martínez has joined again Euro Latina Finance in 2016 after working with our company in Paris and Medellín between 2010 and 2013.

Between 2013 and 2016, Andrés Martínez was Senior vice-president at Grupo Bancolombia, the leading banking institution in Colombia, where he led more than 15 ECM transactions for an aggregate value of c. $2bn. He was also in charge of the non-discretionary equity strategy of the firm.

Between 2003 and 2010, he was Chief of international investments at Valores Bancolombia. He also participated in the creation and management of Suvalor Panama, the international brokerage firm of Bancolombia Group.

Andrés Martínez is a graduate in Engineering from EAFIT (Medellín) and holds a Master in finance from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris) and a Master in quantitative methods from Université Paris X (Paris). He is a Colombian national and speaks fluently Spanish, French and English.



Guilherme Caobianco has ten years of experience, focused mainly on large M&A transactions and capital markets issuances, during his tenure at J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and HSBC. He joined Euro Latina Finance in 2019 as vice-president.

Between 2010 and 2015, while working at J.P. Morgan, he worked on the valuation of over 25 Brazilian companies and assets, and on the capital raise of over U$30 billion for the advised companies.

Guilherme Caobianco is also the founder of Biancoluce Iluminação, one of the main importers of lighting articles in Brazil, and of the website Casa.Center, an e-commerce merchant with over one million accesses.

Guilherme Caobianco is a graduate in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (São Paulo). He is a Brazilian citizen and speaks fluenty Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.



João Baroni has ten years of experience in consulting and corporate finance, having started his career at Monitor Group in Brazil. He then developed a diversified experience in M&A and Private Equity in Brazil, having worked successively for Euro Latina Finance, Brazilian PE fund 2bCapital and A10 Investimentos.

João Baroni has joined again Euro Latina Finance as senior advisor in 2018. He is also the founder of B.LEM, the second largest bakery chain in Brazil with more than thirty stores.

João Baroni is a graduate in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (São Paulo) and he holds a Master in Finance from Université Paris-Dauphine (Paris). He is a Brazilian national and he speaks fluently Portuguese, English and French.



Hélène Festal joined Euro Latina Finance in 2019 as analyst after spending two years as an M&A analyst at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CACIB) in São Paulo, where she mainly worked on cross-border M&A projects involving Latin America in several sectors (technology, oil & gas, chemicals,…).

Prior to CACIB, Hélène Festal worked for a year as an investment funds analyst at HSBC in Paris.

Hélène Festal holds a Master in Corporate Finance from ESSCA (France) and an MBA from National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan). She is a French national and speaks fluently French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.



Pedro Hollanda joined Euro Latina Finance in 2019 as analyst. After working more than five years in the commercial branch of Banco do Brasil, he became partner at Veneza Investimentos, an investment advisory office certified by XP Investimentos, the largest independent investment advisory firm in Brazil. He received a CFP® certifiation from PLANEJAR, the main financial planning association in Brazil.

Pedro Hollanda is a graduate from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (Recife), he holds a Master in Finance from EDHEC Business School (Nice) and he is a CFA Level 3 Candidate. He is a Brazilian national and speaks fluently English and Portuguese.



Mariana Gajardo joined Euro Latina Finance in 2020 after working first for eight years in the investment banking sector and then for five years with several US and French start-ups.

Mariana Gajardo began her career in 2006 as executive assistant at French investment bank ARJIL, notably as executive assistant to the Chairman and Managing Director. She later joined ACG Private Equity as fund administrator and then ACG Capital as office manager.

She later worked for three years as Operations Manager at the French subsidiary of Blue Stripe, a US firm which specializes in luxury student accommodation.  

Before joining Euro Latina Finance, she finally worked for two years with different start-ups as independent advisor in organization, transformation and management. 

Mariana Gajardo holds a degree in Language Industry and Technical Translation from Paris Diderot University (Paris). She is a French and Chilean national and speaks fluently French, English and Spanish.
