Before founding Euro Latina Finance in early 2010, Hakim Aouani spent twelve years at the listed French retailer Casino as a member of the executive management board and global head of mergers & acquisitions, equity investments and corporate affairs.

Between 1998 and 2010, he led the transformation of the Group, supervising over eighty M&A, capital markets and real estate transactions. As part of his duties, he was also in charge of managing and optimizing Casino’s strategic investments both in France and internationally, in particular the group’s US$5bn investment in Latin America (including US$3bn invested in Pão de Açúcar in Brazil and US$1bn invested in Almacenes Éxito in Colombia).

This led him to be in charge of key strategic aspects of such holdings ranging from capital structure management (financing and refinancing), to corporate governance and build-up strategies, among others. He also served as member of the supervisory boards of several listed corporations including Smart & Final Inc. (US) and Super de Boer NV (Netherlands), as well as all Casino’s subsidiaries in Latin America.

Prior to Casino, he spent eight years in investment banking at Banque Worms (today Deutsche Bank) and HSBC, working respectively in LBO financing and M&A.

Hakim Aouani is graduated from CentraleSupélec Engineering School (Paris) and HEC (Paris). He is a French national and also holds Italian and Moroccan citizenships. He speaks fluent French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic.

Passionate about international travel, Hakim Aouani is also an avid runner (half marathon and marathon) and a football player.



Cédric Aymard joined Euro Latina Finance in 2021 as Special Advisor. He has 25 years of experience in the mergers and acquisitions and private equity sectors, including 10 years in the M&A team at HSBC, followed by 15 years at the investment advisory firm Sisu Capital fund in London and at the investment firm Turnteam Capital, which he co-founded in 2010. During his time at Sisu Capital and Turnteam, Cédric led investments in France (as well as in the United Kingdom and Germany) in operational turnarounds, notably acting as the local operating partner of several large American private equity funds, as well as in operational and / or financial advisory mandates. Cédric was also co-investor and CFO of the Arc International group (turnover of €800 million, half of which was generated by independent subsidiaries located in China, the United States, Russia, and the UAE).


During his time at HSBC, where he was mainly based in Paris and London, Cédric acted as an advisor to numerous transactions on targets in Germany, Benelux, France, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. He has worked with funds such as Ardian (France), Astorg (France), Bain Capital (US), BC Partners, Montagu (UK), PAI Partners (France), and has advised major French groups such as Alstom (energy equipment), Areva (nuclear), FCI (electronics), Rhodia (chemicals), SUEZ (waste treatment and water distribution) and Total (petroleum) as well as French family groups such as Ethypharm (pharma), L'Occitane (cosmetics), SEB (household appliances), Séché Environnement (waste treatment) and Zodiac (aeronautics). Cédric has also advised the French State regarding several of its holdings.


Cédric Aymard is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP). He is a French national and speaks fluent French and English.


After having played golf at a high level, as well as tennis and running, Cédric has recently become an avid road cyclist with a particular appetite for challenging mountain passes such as the Mont Ventoux.




Giovani Bellissi joined Euro Latina Finance in 2021, having previously worked in financial institutions for 15 years acquiring experience in Investment Banking, proprietary M&A, Project Finance and Client Coverage.

From 2014 to 2020, Giovani worked in the Banco Votorantim’s Investment Banking team dedicated to the origination and execution of M&A transactions in the infrastructure and agribusiness sectors. During this period, he also advised Banco Votorantim on venture capital operations in the fintech sector.

Prior to this, Giovani worked in ABN Amro/Santander’s Corporate Development team for 4 years, with a focus on acquisitions of financial institutions and partnerships with large retail chains. Following his MBA, he also acquired experience in the debt market, working in Project Finance at Santander and in Client Coverage at Banco Votorantim.

Giovani holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the FGV-EAESP (São Paulo), and studied International Business at the ITESM (Mexico). MBA graduate from the London Business School (United Kingdom), he also participated in an exchange program with the IESE (Spain). Giovani is a Brazilian national and speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Passionate about traveling and getting to know new cultures, Giovani has had several international experiences in the USA, Mexico, England and Spain.



Andrés Martínez has re-joined Euro Latina Finance in 2016 after working with our company in Paris and Medellín between 2010 and 2013.

Between 2013 and 2016, he was vice-president at Grupo Bancolombia, the leading banking institution in Colombia, where he led more than 15 ECM transactions with a combined value of c. US$2bn. He was also in charge of the non-discretionary equity strategy of the firm.

Between 2003 and 2010, he was head of international investments at Valores Bancolombia. He also worked in the foundation and management of Suvalor Panama, the international brokerage firm of Bancolombia Group.

Andrés Martínez is an engineering graduate from EAFIT (Medellín) and holds a Master's in finance from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris) as well as a Master's in quantitative methods from Université Paris X (Paris). He is a Colombian national and speaks fluent Spanish, French and English.

Andrés Martínez is a long-distance running enthusiast and has successfully completed the New York, Chicago and Washington marathons, in addition to more than a dozen half-marathons.




Marie Ledru joined Euro Latina Finance in 2013 after spending six years at French listed retailer Casino, where she mostly worked on M&A and business development projects with a particular focus on Latin America.

As part of Casino’s Corporate Development and Holdings department, she worked for four years on several M&A projects in Europe, Latin America and South East Asia and was actively involved in the strategic and financial management of the group’s main international investments.

She then joined GreenYellow, Casino’s energy subsidiary, as deputy CFO. For two years, she participated in the structuring and financing of solar and energy efficiency projects as well as in the international development of GreenYellow in Colombia and Brazil.

Marie Ledru is a HEC (Paris) graduate. She is a French national and speaks fluent French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

An avid rock climber of more than 25 years, Marie Ledru is more broadly a mountain enthusiast (from regular hiking to treks in the Alps and the Andes).



João Baroni has twelve years of experience in consulting and corporate finance, having started his career at Monitor Group in Brazil. He then developed a diversified expertise in M&A and Private Equity in Brazil, having worked successively for Euro Latina Finance, Brazilian PE fund 2bCapital and A10 Investimentos.

João has an operational background in various sectors, ranging from tech, food retail to capital goods: he is the founder of B.LEM (the largest bakery franchise chain in Brazil), he worked for Ingresse (leading Brazilian tech company in live events / entertainment) as head of corporate development and head of people and he recently joined Engemasa, a foundry focused on complex alloys, as CEO.

João Baroni holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (São Paulo) and a Master’s in finance from Université Paris-Dauphine (Paris). He is a Brazilian national and speaks fluent Portuguese, English and French.

Always eager to discover and explore new ideas, João Baroni is a Burning Man supporter (founding member of the Brasa Camp) as well as a psychoanalysis student.



Caynã Cândido joined Euro Latina Finance in 2021, after having worked for more than six years in the M&A division of various financial institutions.


Between 2019 and 2021, Caynã worked in the investment banking division of Banco Votorantim, dedicated to the execution of M&A operations across various industries. Previously, he worked at Lincoln International as an M&A analyst at the Sao Paulo office.


Prior to this, Caynã started his career in the Investment Banking division of Crédit Agricole in Sao Paulo.


Caynã holds a degree in business administration from the FGV- EAESP (São Paulo), having taken additional courses in the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He is a Brazilian national and speaks fluently Portuguese and English.


As a footvolley and football fanatic, Caynã has participated in several amateur championships throughout his life. He also practices other sports, such as running and swimming.



Stéphane Durlet joined Euro Latina Finance in 2021, after having previously worked within our team, from 2017 to 2018, in our Paris and Medellín offices.


After having completed an apprenticeship in auditing and law at EY, Stéphane first stepped into the field of mergers and acquisitions at Euro Latina Finance before subsequently joining the valuations and business modeling team at Deloitte in 2018.  Throughout his three years at Deloitte, Stéphane was tasked with overseeing valuations within the context of various transactions, fiscal and accounting matters, as well as corporate reorganizations, within the Health, Services, Industrial and Infrastructure sectors.


Stéphane holds a Master’s in management (MiM) from ESSEC Business School (Paris). He is a French and Salvadorian dual national and speaks fluent French, Spanish and English.

In his free time, Stéphane enjoys running (having notably completed the Paris semi-marathon), as well as playing tennis and volley-ball. As an avid reader of the Times Magazine and a fervent follower of US talk-shows, Stéphane is passionate about various societal and political subjects in North America.




Pedro Hollanda joined Euro Latina Finance in 2019 as an analyst. After working for more than five years in the commercial branch of Banco do Brasil, he became partner at Veneza Investimentos, an investment advisory office certified by XP Investimentos, the largest independent investment advisory firm in Brazil. He received a CFP® certification from PLANEJAR, the main financial planning association in Brazil.

Pedro Hollanda holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (Recife), and a Master in finance from EDHEC Business School (Nice). Pedro is a Brazilian national and speaks fluent English and Portuguese.

Pedro Hollanda is a sport enthusiast, with interests ranging from Brazilian jiu-jitsu (two championships at Brazilian state level) to paragliding.



François Morandeau joined Euro Latina Finance in 2020 as an analyst after starting his career in the development division of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity where he participated in four fundraisings and the launch of new investments strategies.


François Morandeau then joined the M&A advisory firm Ártica in São Paulo as an analyst, where he worked on half a dozen Brazilian and crossborder mid-cap transactions.


François Morandeau holds a Master's degree in economics and management from ESSEC (Paris). He is a French national and speaks fluent French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.


Passionate about basketball, which he played at a competitive level, François is also a marathon runner (Rio de Janeiro marathon) and has enjoyed surfing for most of his life.




Andres Niño has re-joined Euro Latina Finance in 2021, after working with our company in Paris and Medellin between 2018 and 2019.


He started his career in the O&G sector, in OXY (Occidental Petroleum Company), where he was part of the Finance & accounting team. Between 2019 and 2021, he served as Finance and Markets Coordinator in one of the leading companies in the auto parts sector in Colombia, where he led the restructuring of the debt, the fundraising for manufacturing projects and the launch of new business and products.


Andrés Niño has a business degree from the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá) and holds a Master's degree in corporate finance from KEDGE Business School (Marseille). He is a Colombian national and speaks fluent Spanish, French and English.


He is passionate about football, which he has practiced from an early age, reaching competitive level and becoming champion in regional tournaments.



Marcos Cardoso joined Euro Latina Finance in 2021 as an analyst after having been a Debt Capital Markets trainee at Goldman Sachs in São Paulo, where he began his career in the financial markets.

Marcos Cardoso holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Insper (São Paulo), having also performed during his undergraduate studies an exchange program at Université Paris-Dauphine (Paris).

Marcos holds double-citizenship (Brazilian and Portuguese) and speaks fluent Portuguese and English.

Marcos is an avid reader on geopolitics, economics, and his favorite soccer club, Santos.
